Description

The specimen consists of a cluster of medium sized aegirine crystals that have partially covered a crystal of what appears to be aegirine partially altered to riebeckite. This outcrop is partially embedded into a large crystal fragment of orthoclase. The fragment is a cleaved portion from a larger crystal. The medium sized aegirine crystals follow a hexagonal prismatic habit with the cluster in an erratic growth habit with crystals protruding. The crystals average 1cm in the extent to which they protrude. The alteration crystals measures 4cm in height.
