Description

An elongate column of twinned aegirine with a variety of mineral species attached up the one half of the hexagonal column. The attached mineral species up the one side are a mixture of orthoclase, smoky quartz, zircon and goethite. The main aegirine crystal has a prismatic habit and grew into a twinned column of crystals in a contact formation. At one end the prismatic crystal managed to bend as opposed to an angular change in direction. The aegirine is lustrous and black in appearance. The termination end allows one to see the modified multiple terminations.
