Description

A deposit of malachite has grown on a flat plate of crystalline dioptase. The piece has a ridge that moves halfway across the bedding planes of dioptase. The ridge has protruding dioptase crystals. On top the dioptase breaks through the forest of green malachite here and there. There are crystals of dioptase that are covered in red hematite oxide.
