New Today (1 August 2026) — be the first to try!
The latest Smart search has been updated to improve the range of your search questions to show more interesting and in-depth results.
This includes wider geographical searching and in-depth chemistry and specimens with mineral associations. All varieties/species should appear under generic searches, eg Garnet.
You can now also search by what a specimen is, not just what it is called — radioactive, fluorescent, pseudomorph, meteorite, fossil, type locality and more.
Just type your own search into the main search box at the top of any page — Smart search does the rest. If your search results are empty you have the option to save the search and be notified when matching items are listed.
