A fine specimen of non-polished, natural boulder opal from this classic locality. Veins of shimmering blue opal lining between the light and dark wood-like brown layers of sandstone and ironstone is what makes this piece a unique art of its nature. As can be seen, the blue precious opal vein penetrates through the 2-cm-thick specimen to its back side. The specimen stands well in many orientations.
