Carlhintzeite Ca2[AlF6]F · H2O  is a very rare mineral named in honor of Dr. Carl Adolf Ferdinand Hintze, Professor of Mineralogy and director of the Mineralogische Institut, Univerity of Breslau, Breslau, Poland.

This is a very rich specimen of thin bladed crystals of an intense yellow to white color on fluorite matrix from a recent find in China.

SEM-EDS and PXRD analysed specimen.
