Description

A superb, and showy specimen of highly lustrous, twinned and striated, brown sphalerite crystals to 1cm on a bit of silicified limestone matrix from the famous Joplin area of the Tri-State District.
 

This exceptional, essentially undamaged, old-timer comes from the Otto Hoffmann collection, Germany and was acquired 1974.
These are exceptionally hard to find today in such quality.
