Description

Fervanite is an ultrarare hydrous ferric vanadate first described from Gypsum Valley Mining District, San Miguel County, Colorado, USA
and Polar Mesa, Gateway Mining District, Grand County, Utah, USA.

Fervanite form brown to dark brown radiated, tabular crystals on matrix with minor Schubnelite crystals (picture 5).

Both rare minerals were SEM-EDS and PXRD conformed.
