Description

This aesthetic specimen features a large, well-defined almandine garnet crystal from the renowned Harstad locality. It displays a deep, saturated wine-red to near-black colour and a sharp, dodecahedral geometry with a fine vitreous lustre. The crystal surfaces exhibit distinct natural growth patterns that highlight their architectural form.

This is a single, robust crystal. Its base shows clear evidence of where it was originally intergrown with another individual, as it was originally part of a larger crystal cluster. The separation has left a clean contact point that does not detract from the overall symmetry of the primary prism.
