Description

Vendidaite is a rare aluminum sulfate chloride mineral that was first scientifically described in 2013. The mineral is colorless and forms tabular crystals, often occurring in clusters or aggregates. The La Vendida mine in the Sierra Gorda, Antofagasta Region, Chile, remains the only known location for vendidaite.
