Description

Anthoinite is a tungstate mineral that occurs primarily as a secondary mineral in tungsten deposits. It is known for its chalky appearance and its chemical composition of aluminum and tungsten. Anthoinite is a typical weathering product and often forms as a pseudomorph after scheelite or wolframite. In these cases, the mineral forms white masses.
