Description

Tantalowodginite is a rare oxide mineral from the wodginite group. As the name suggests, it is the tantalum-dominant end member of this group. Tantalowodginite primarily forms in highly fractionated, granitic pegmatites rich in rare elements (LCT pegmatites). Here, tantalowodginite forms a black crystal fragment with some matrix.
