Description

To honour the 20th anniversary of e-rocks auctions, I would like to offer a truly outstanding Norwegian classic:

An old time crystal aggregate of two larger and some smaller vesuvianite crystals from the skarn occurrence at Eg, Kristiansand. The largest and best crystalized measures 3 x 2.9 x 2.7 cm.

Four (old) labels, including one signed. “Erber 875” (Josef Erber (1824 - 1882) mineral dealer in Vienna), one from A.Berger (Anton Berger 1870 - 1956, mineral dealer in Mödling near Vienna) with inscription “Collection Dr. Lechner, Wien” (from collection Moritz Lechner (1850 - 1903), one from Scott Williams Mineral Company, Oberlin, Kansas (American mineral dealer 1924 - 1997; label between 1991 and 1997), and one only with old writing without further comment
