Description

Fine rock crystal cluster from Grieswies in the Rauris Valley, Austria. The specimen consists of dozens of well-developed quartz crystals intergrown in a dynamic, directional arrangement, almost pointing outward like natural signposts. The crystals show very good clarity with bright vitreous luster and sharp terminations, while subtle iron staining adds warm accents between the transparent prisms. The compact growth and depth of the cluster create a strong three-dimensional presence. A characteristic alpine piece from this classic locality in the Hohe Tauern region.
