Description

Super rare locality specimen of blue sodalite from the carbonatites located in the area of Upper Ruvubu river. Specifically, this is from the feldspathoidal syenite of the Inner Unit. It has purple UV fluorescence, and some yellow crystals (zircon?) are also recognized. The sample was collected in the 1960’s by Professor A. Delvaux (1919-1998).
