Description

A pleasing, slightly gemmy garnet var. andradite crystal decorated with epidote from Arrondissement Diakon, Kayes Region, Mali. The andradite crystal of 18mm has a rich brown-orange color and sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit, combined with a strong luster. It has some gemminess. Around grow green and lustrous prismatic epidote crystals. Some muscovite is seen too. In good condition – some natural imperfection and outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.
