Description

A specimen from the Cowhorse hush, near Wellhope, comprising a dozen lustrous, sharp fluorite, either clear or with purple hints up to 0.8cm, on dark brown siderite and ironstone matrix.

The crystals vary from clear edges to frosted white centres; some have slightly bevelled edges. A couple of incomplete crystals.

A very rarely seen Weardale locality.
