Description

A complete, well-isolated crystal of hydropyrochlore, presented without matrix, which is particularly noteworthy for a species most often found massive or embedded in host rock.

The crystal displays a well-defined individual form, with clear planar faces and a cubo-octahedral geometry characteristic of the pyrochlore group. The surface shows a matte to submetallic texture, with a dark brown to black coloration, locally accented by natural rust-brown oxidation tones.

The total absence of matrix allows full observation of the entire crystal morphology, highlighting edges, crystal faces, and subtle growth-related irregularities. The robust yet well-formed appearance gives the specimen a strong mineralogical presence and high educational value.

In a box 2.8x2.8cm, labelled

FoV 4mm
