Description

Beautiful micromount specimen featuring an attractive association of ottensite and stibnite from the famous Qinglong Mine, a world-class locality for antimony minerals and rare secondary species.

The specimen displays well-formed metallic stibnite crystals, showing elongated prismatic forms with strong longitudinal striations and a bright silvery metallic luster. These crystals form the structural framework of the specimen and provide a striking contrast with the secondary mineralization.

The ottensite occurs as vivid red-orange aggregates, partially coating the stibnite crystals and the surrounding matrix. These aggregates show a botryoidal to microcrystalline texture, with an intense coloration typical of the species.

The combination of shiny metallic stibnite crystals and bright red secondary ottensite produces a particularly attractive and colorful mineral association.
