Description

This sample  was found by me on 2012 in the Sapucaia's dump. On 2019 this mineral was studyed and found to be a polymorph of kummerite. In 2019 a proposal was sent to IMA (IMA  2019-035) with the name varvelloite but, unfortunally, it was not approved. Later, in 2021, the name was changed to parakummerite as suggested by the Commission being it a polymorph of kummerite (IMA  2019-035a). This proposal was rejected too by the Commission because retained only an intermediate at half way between kastningite and kummerite like kummerite (half way in the series laueite-mangangordonite), ferrisicklerite (half way between triphylite and heterosite), and a lot of other accepted mineral species. The phosphate association includes also mangangordonite, cacoxenite and strengite. 

here it lays black goethite and with orange beraunite tufts and pink variscite balls
