Description

This striking agate nodule is a premier example from one of the most celebrated Czech localities. The centrepiece of this specimen is a highly dynamic "plume" inclusion, displaying saturated shades of dark red, orange, and deep brown. This central feature is framed by delicate, sharp fortification banding that transitions into translucent grey and cream chalcedony.

The face of the specimen has been polished to a high mirror finish, accentuating its vitreous lustre and revealing the remarkable three-dimensional depth of the internal structures. The reverse side retains its authentic, rugged character, featuring the distinctive green celadonite coating that is the hallmark of agates from this region.
