Description

Micromount specimen featuring well-formed elyite, lining a small cavity within the host rock. The mineral occurs as very fine acicular crystals, arranged in radiating to slightly divergent sprays, displaying a pale blue to lavender-blue color with a soft silky luster.

The crystallization evenly coats the cavity walls, providing good morphological readability despite the extreme crystal fineness. The contrast with the grey to whitish carbonate-rich matrix enhances the delicate coloration of the elyite

In a box 2.8x2.8cm, labelled

FoV : 2.8mm
