Description

Outstanding micromount from the famous Grandview Mine (Horseshoe Mesa, Arizona), featuring highly aesthetic cyanotrichite as acicular sprays and radiating tufts, displaying an intense deep blue to electric blue color.

The mineral occurs as extremely fine silky needles, often arranged in radiating bundles, showing a characteristic silky to satin luster. The specimen sits on a greenish to brownish altered matrix, typical of Grand Canyon copper secondary mineral assemblages.

A very photogenic and highly representative specimen from a classic American locality
