Description

This striking specimen is a premier example of the complex mineralisation found in the Agouim region. It features a dramatic "sunset" colour palette, ranging from golden yellows and burnt oranges to deep, blood-red iron staining. The patterns are exceptionally intricate, showcasing sharp fortification banding that transitions into delicate, moss-like inclusions and botryoidal (grape-like) white chalcedony structures.

The contrast between the fiery outer bands and the cooler, translucent white and grey centre creates a remarkable sense of depth. This specimen captures a "frozen moment" of hydrothermal activity, where silica-rich fluids deposited layers of chalcedony within a volcanic host rock.
