Description

The specimen displays striking radial aggregates of very slender acicular crystals forming starburst-like sprays and divergent bundles. The crystals are translucent, showing an intense emerald to bluish-green color, with a silky to vitreous luster that highlights their extreme fineness and brilliance.
The needles are sharply terminated and well separated, exhibiting a typical radial growth habit characteristic of well-crystallized brochantite. They are set on a dark reddish-brown matrix, likely composed of iron oxides and altered silicate gangue, providing a strong chromatic contrast that enhances the vivid copper-green coloration.
Overall, this specimen forms a highly aesthetic and dynamic crystalline scene, outstanding for macro mineral photography and representative of the oxidation-zone assemblages of Chilean copper deposits.
