Description

Excellent fluorite (fluorine) micromount from the Fluminimaggiore district (Sardinia, Italy), featuring a very attractive association of sharp purple octahedrons on a bright, microcrystalline matrix typical of late-stage cavity fillings.

The fluorite occurs as well-isolated cubic crystals, with variable sizes; the main octahedrons shows crisp geometry and very clean edges. Colour is a deep purple to bluish-purple, with moderate to good transparency. Several crystals display subtle internal zoning and darker patches, likely reflecting growth variations or very fine inclusions. Crystal faces are mostly smooth, though locally showing delicate growth textures that add character and confirm the natural origin.

FoV : 2.4mm
