Description

Excellent micromounts, 2 specimens of senarmontite from the well-known Djebel Hamimat locality (Algeria), featuring 2 isolated crystals about 1 cm across with a clearly isometric habit. The crystals are blocky and equant, showing well-developed faces, although partly dull—very typical for this classic occurrence.

The colour ranges from light grey to lead-grey, with a lustre varying between subadamantine and waxy depending on illumination. Several faces display subtle growth features and minor surface irregularities, yet the overall crystal remains very attractive, especially for a species that is not always found in such well-defined crystals.
