Description

Superb micromount of vladimirite from Aït Ahmane, Morocco.

The specimen displays delicate radiating aggregates of very fine acicular to prismatic crystals forming translucent to white star-like sprays. The crystals exhibit a vitreous to silky luster, with sharp and well-defined terminations.

They rest on a matrix composed of pale blue to bluish-gray spherical aggregates, likely secondary in origin, creating a striking aesthetic contrast between the soft pastel background and the bright white crystal sprays.

The radiating rosette-like structure gives the piece remarkable visual delicacy, typical of secondary crystallizations in oxidation zones of metallic ore deposits.

Vladimirite is a rare species, appreciated for its fragile crystallization style and limited availability in micromount form.
