Description

The specimen occurs as a millimeter-sized spherical aggregate composed of tightly intergrown microcrystals. The surface displays a finely granular to subvitreous appearance, with light brown to pinkish-brown tones typical of the quartz- and feldspar-rich pegmatitic matrix.

Close inspection reveals small pale spherules scattered within the aggregate, contrasting with the warmer matrix coloration. The crystallization is compact and radially arranged, giving the specimen its characteristic globular habit.

Stokesite is a hydrated calcium tin silicate (CaSnSi₃O₉·2H₂O), a rare mineral typically associated with tin-bearing pegmatitic environments. The Galiléia district is well known for granitic pegmatites hosting rare mineral species and secondary tin minerals.
