Lorenzenite

The specimen displays a well-formed crystal with a dark brown to brownish-black coloration and a submetallic to resinous luster. Crystal faces are sharp, showing the typical stout prismatic habit of the species. The surface appears finely granular with subtle internal reflections under direct light.

Lorenzenite is a sodium titanium silicate (Na₂Ti₂Si₂O₉), a mineral characteristic of alkaline complexes enriched in rare elements. The Khibiny massif is world-renowned for its exceptional mineral diversity within nepheline syenites and for hosting numerous rare titanium- and zirconium-bearing species.

The crystal is mounted as a micromount, highlighting the quality of crystallization and the emblematic mineralogical richness of the Kola region.
