Description

Several well-formed crystals of meta-uranocircite display their characteristic bright yellow-green color.

The crystals exhibit a thick tabular morphology, with sharp faces and well-defined edges, typical of uranium phosphates belonging to the autunite group. Their coloration ranges from lemon yellow to vivid green, creating a striking contrast with the darker surrounding matrix and brown crystals.

Several individuals are present, some intergrown with one another, forming a small but well-defined crystalline cluster within the cavity. The crystal surfaces show a slightly satin to vitreous luster, enhanced by the mineral’s partial translucency.

In a box 2.8x2.8cm, labelled
